Diego Muñoz Valenzuela

Vastly experienced Chilean writer. He has published sixteen books of short stories and micro-stories and eight novels. Flores para un cyborg was published in Spain, Italy and Croatia, and the volumes of short stories Lugares secretos in Croatia, Microsauri in Italy, Ángeles y verdugos in Argentina, Amor Cibernauta in Peru, Venta de Ilusiones in China and Universos imposibles in Mexico. A passionate writer of science fiction and micro-stories, he has also tackled the period of military dictatorship. He has been included in more than a hundred anthologies published in Chile and abroad, and has been distinguished in numerous literary competitions, including the Best Literary Works Award of the National Book Council in 1994 and 1996. In 2011 the author was selected as one of the ‘25 literary secrets waiting to be discovered’ by the FIL of Guadalajara.
