Founded in 1983, Pehuén is a Chilean publishing house dedicated to creating, rescuing and disseminating books on indigenous peoples and cultural heritage. Since its origins four decades ago, the literary production of Pehuén Editores has been closely linked to the political, social and cultural context of Chile. Twenty years ago, it began its children’s and young people’s line under the slogan ‘Reading gives pleasure’, a phrase from which it is positioned for the publication and development of various themes and in which its informative books stand out, published from a local and heritage perspective. Expanding local representations and the multicultural character of the territory also characterises its catalogue.
