Alexandria

A peculiar woman named Alexandra arrives at the town’s dimly lit library. With her, beloved books and classic characters begin to breathe life into the space, filling it with stories, imagination, and fantasy. However, the presence of some very suspicious firefighters threatens to extinguish the life of this cherished place.

Told through the voice of a child, Alexandria is a story rich in metaphors and references to universal children’s and young adult literature. It invites us to reflect on the history of books and libraries around the world and pays tribute to all those librarians who, with dedication and passion, have devoted their lives to sharing their love for books.

The delicate pencil illustrations by the talented artist Karina Cocq invite us to discover, on each page, a series of details about memorable stories and characters that have accompanied many generations.
