My name is Jules,
and since I was little I dreamed
of being a great photographer.
When I was old enough,
I became an apprentice
of a very important one.
The Photographer’s Apprentice tells the story of Jules, a young man who dreams of becoming a photographer in the early days of photography in Chile. Jules starts working as an assistant in a studio to learn the secrets of his master, a famous and particular photographer. But an unexpected event reveals the destiny of the young apprentice.
A book that continues the author’s graphic work, with a moving narrative proposal, full of symbolism and careful details. It invites the reader to go back in time thanks to an aesthetic and colours that evoke photography and creates an atmosphere that allows us to observe behind the camera as another apprentice.
Key points
• A journey to the beginnings of the art of photography and the discovery of its language.
• A proposal for a transversal audience: children, adults, fans of the horror genre and collectors of graphic literature.
