Every day we play at dodging rats, syringes, the remains of bonfires.
Here we’re all acrobats.
We try to keep our balance on copper wires.

A story that takes place in the Cañada Real, the largest shantytown settlement in Europe. The author turns this harsh reality into literature through the simple, sweet and creative look of childhood. A work that gives a voice to the children who live in these environments and that brings visibility to a problem that has been entrenched for years. And despite the lack of resources, there are children with resilience and hope, who use the little they have to develop their imagination.
