This is the story of Serafin, a studious penguin and fortune teller who has the special ability to discover to which group each animal belongs: mammal, bird, fish, amphibian or reptile. Using his crystal ball, Serafin helps to clear up the doubts of the whale, the seahorse, the penguin and the platypus as to their identity.
A book that shows the great diversity present in nature and helps to recognise that, although some animals are difficult to classify, their singularities make them unique and marvellous. In addition to revealing curious facts about some species, it helps to promote the development of critical thinking in children who are beginning to read and to embrace difference with respect, judgement and love.
