Professor Waldman and his wife Mildred adopt Florence, their niece, orphaned after a tragic accident. Her talent and interest in science lead her to her uncle’s laboratory, where she meets Viktor Frankenstein and his creature. Being a woman will play against her desires and she will have to choose a path: will it be the path of life that starts from a dead heart? will it be the path of solitude? will it be the path of love? A novel, written in epistolary style, that shows some of the questions raised in the field of science, while honoring the first feminists of the late eighteenth century, who marked the search for women’s equality.
