It all started because of Father’s Day.
Some weeks before, our teacher said that we had to make a handcraft to give it to our dads during a shared afternoon snack. I don’t know exactly why they insist on making them things. That was when we were in preschool, but we are in primary school now and parents don’t need crafts that are not good for anything or that are incredibly ugly.
Maju is eight years old. She lives with her parents and her grandmother Zulma. She is funny, talkative, playful and righteous. Two out of three times she messes up, but always for something that she thinks is worth it. Her dream is to be a soccer referee, and for that she practices at school breaks.
In this new adventure, Maju and her friends come to teach us the importance of the bonds that we build with enthusiasm, love and dedication. Sometimes those ties are even more important than the kin themselves, because we choose them and take care of them every day.
