My Grandma

My grandma Betty is sooo many things, that not even a whole book would be enough to tell you about her, but I’m going to try.
First: when we go to her house, she always receives us with the finest lace tablecloths. However, when it’s tea time, she doesn’t like to lay the table.

Grandma Betty is fun and unique. She greets her family with elegant lace tablecloths, loves to eat Mexican tacos, but is afraid of aeroplanes. Grandma Betty breaks away from the stereotypes of the elderly. She is a woman full of vitality and youthful spirit who likes to be with her granddaughter and have fun together.
The collage illustrations create a stimulating and playful visual narrative, like the grandmother’s own character, which subverts traditional roles.
