Golly! My Mom has Breast Cancer

I know that people go to the clinic when they are sick, I have gone many times. The last one was when I fell playing soccer and broke my wrist. They took x-rays and put a blue cast on me. But, this time my mom wasn’t sick… or was she?

Santi’s mother has a routine medical check-up. When she gets the result, everything changes in the family: she has breast cancer. Throughout the pages of this book, created by two psychologists specialising in psycho-oncology, Santi recounts the different emotions he goes through, explains what the disease consists of and what the treatments are. With clear, relevant and necessary information about breast cancer explained with empathy and tenderness, this book is an aid to learning about the disease and facilitating emotional support for children who are going through this experience.

It includes an activity booklet and a card game to accompany both children and adults, which can be used in the psychotherapeutic, school and family context.
