Seven monsters and a cat
go for a walk.
They want to scare us
and feel at ease.
But…
The ghost hears the wind
and trembles in dismay.
Alarmed, he runs off
to sew up his patches.
A vampire, a zombie, a ghost, a witch, a mummy, a werewolf, Frankenstein’s monster and… a cat! Where will they go? Will they reach their destination? Rafa Ordóñez returns with a rhyming album, inspired by the formulas of the oral tradition, whose protagonists will disappear, one by one, in the craziest ways. An unexpected ending transforms this story into an original circular tale. Christian Inaraja’s illustrations, full of colour on light backgrounds, give shape to some of the best-known scary characters from the children’s literary tradition and accentuate the comic character of this proposal.
